National India Hub is requesting a special event permit to host a parade to celebrate India’s 77th Independence Day. National India Hub recently relocated to their new location at 930 National Parkway. The parade will include twenty-two (22) floats along with fifteen (15) walking groups. Attendees will follow on foot chanting patriotic poems/songs. The parade requires review by a standing committee and Village Board approval since it involves use of public right-of-way.

The Village Manager recommends the Public Safety Committee recommend the Village Board approve a special event for a parade in village right-of-way for National India Hub to take place on August 17, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on American Lane.
