Springinsguth Road between Schaumburg Road and Weathersfield Way is a major collector in western Schaumburg that is a four-lane cross section. Sidewalks are provided on both the east and west sides of the road. There is no dedicated on-street parking within the corridor, though it is allowed with some restrictions.
The segment of Springinsguth Road between Weathersfield Way and Schaumburg Road is primarily surrounded by residential land uses, though some commercial properties are located at the north end of the corridor. Less than one block north of Weathersfield Way is Campanelli elementary school, which is served by a dedicated school crossing for pedestrians on Springinsguth Road.
Between Weathersfield Way and Schaumburg Road, the village is seeking to reconstruct the roadway and replace undersized water main, while also improving bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. As a separate project, the village plans to resurface the roadway and improve bicycle and pedestrian accommodations south of Weathersfield Way. With both projects planned for construction 2029, village staff will be soliciting public input for both segments of Springinsguth Road. Staff will incorporate feedback from the public to guide their proposed improvements.
