Summary
The petitioner is seeking approval of a parking variation and valet parking plan, for the Fogo De Chao restaurant, which is currently under construction at 1950 E. Golf Road. It should be noted that 1950 E. Golf Road is the correct address, although 1900 E. Golf Road was listed in the public notice to the adjacent property owners. Fogo De Chao was granted approval of a site plan, preliminary and final plat, parking setback variation, parking variation, foundation landscape variation, signage variation, minimum lot area, width, lot coverage variations and Woodfield Regional Center Design Review by the Village Board in December 2023 (Z2306-01).
The initial application included a request for valet parking; however, the required materials were not submitted with the petition, so the applicant is requesting approval for a valet parking plan. The initial approval also included a request for a parking variation for the reduction of parking in the overall parking lot. However, a parking variation should have also been requested to reduce the required parking on the newly subdivided lot.
The plat approval created a lot that follows the outline of the curb surrounding the building. Since there is no parking provided on the new parcel, so a parking variation for this lot is required. | Recommended Action: | Staff Recommendation
